The Wednesday’s win for AFC in Udinese that saw them qualify for the Champions League Group Stage, has lifted any tension from the Arsenal squad and it is predicted that we will see a much more convincing team against Manchester United this Sunday (tomorrow). AFC will travel to Old Trafford, trying to get the first win in this season’s BPLPremier League.
It is true that Arsenal were suffering a from a dip in confidence following last weekend’s defeat to Liverpool but, regardless of tomorrow's result, it is expected to see a different team turn up this weekend due to suspension and injuries, which is interesting on who will step up for the team as 1st eleven. Also, irrespective of the result at Old Trafford this Sunday, AW also has time to get in the new faces he needs, as he said, 3 players. AFC, f course will have an all-away game against the TOP 6 side, except for Liverpool, and also, quite a tough draw in UCL but luckily, drawn against Shrewsbury Town for Carling Cup match on 19 September (expect all the new faces to play part even as subs in this fixture). The win against Udinese was also important at least to lift up a lil bit of AFC supporters around the globe. We know AW is trying to dig deep into the transfer market and it is also important for us to be patient.
For now, AW has brought in five new players this summer - Gervinho, Jenkinson, Chamberlain, Ryo and Campbell (and not all have made debut in BPL right now, as we r just entering the 3rd game. so keep faith until we saw their gameplay after being integrated in the 1st eleven). SAF had also strengthened his squad with new signings such as Ashley Young (whom admitted he loved AFC, recently), Phil Jones and David De Gea. However, Arsenal has lost these players for the game tomorrow Song, Frimpong, Gervinho (suspended), Gibbs (hamstring), Koscielny (back), Squillaci (calf), and Jack Wilshere (ankle), and i supposed Almunia is not even considered as AFC player now, while Bendtner might also not involved. As for MUFC, the lost Ferdinand (hamstring), Valencia (ankle), Rafael (shoulder), and Vidic (calf), but, considering that the team that beat Tottenham last week, MUFC fielded the team of average 23-24, the same as AFC now. It will be interesting to see both team encounter as both are fresh blood of youngsters but with different manager's principal (one whom built young team with less marquee transfer activity, and 1 with...well..pay any amount for the service they want.)
Juz to add the spice;
1. Fabregas has just lift Super Cup, scoring himself a goal with 2-0 win against Porto
2, Blow for AC Milan as Flamini out for 5 months due to knee injury
3. Harry Rednapp accused Nasri to M.City is driven by money, not success
4. Arsenal had just offered Eden Hazard for 35mil and Park Chu Young for 10 mil
So, dont miss out the match against MUFC. May the best win. Will play at Old Trafford, 11p.m. (Malaysia time).
