EPL: Arsenal vs Liverpool Review from Achai Kidal

The revelation of emotional sickness running through the blood veins of Arsenal Supporters, Glory Hunters and Arsene Wenger. [Part 1]

Today, on the 19th Auguest 2011, after a few days of double action pack of Newcastle [BPL] and Udinese [UCL play-off] match, just a few hours before the 2nd match with Livepool, and also just a few days away from the closing date of summer transfer, it is noticeable that many section of those whom are related directly and indirectly to the Arsenal Football Club [AFC] have been questioning too many things on the failure of Arsene Wenger on the direction of the AFC, one of the premier league club which rich with its own historical background.

For Arsenal Supporters,

It should be reminded though, that this is the 2nd BPL game, and yet still AW was not able to make major signing. The latest acquisition is the unproven Joel Campbell, 20 on the senior europian competition. Of course the AFC starting season was not helped by what seemingly as depleting squad, with the former captain Fab, eboue had gone, and injuries to a few players in the squad ultimately our new talent and hero, Wilshere.
The thing is, how bad is the requirement of getting a new major signing? And, how big is ‘major’ as you defined? Is it through the value of the transfer payment, the familiar name that always being chanted by other people, or through the short video clip that u can see freely in the Youtube website? 1. Transfer payment is not as easy as u think as if u r playing with FIFA Manager or any video games. There r 3 parties involved directly [current club, future club and the player], and in a more complex situation, more [such as the sponsorship and the previous club of the player]. Not only wages and transfer fee, u have to discuss more on paperwork and all those things involving bonus, payment cut and many more. 2. Familiar name? Well, if u think u r good enough to identify a player, why don’t u apply scouting job for AFC? Do u think scouting job is easy? They don’t scout a player in a single game, using a tv or internet as platform of scouting, or any other dull things to do. 3. Come on…youtube? U r judging a professional player based on a compilation video by public servant? Have u ever running on the football field for ..let say…90 minutes? With everyday training and playing week in and week out?  à I wont continue this paragraph unless u have anything to say. Simply put, it is not easy to identify a player which could fit with what we have, particularly we already have an Arsenal play system. Not only about pursing a player and fee, but the expectation after the deal is made. Lol, if I continue this, I dunno when will I finish this article.

Dear Glory Hunters,

Some may wonder why Arsene Wenger appears to be the only manager in the Premier League who has no qualms about selling to a rival Premier League club. My answer is, because only AW knows how to use his former player. Some may critics on AW tactical base. But that is actually the system that many cannot see. The Arsenal system. Remember Flamini & Hleb? They still haven't graduate from learning with AW. Unlike Henry, Pires, Gilberto, Viera & Ljungberg. They r the product which oredi completed learning their trade in football with AW. That is why they can still perform at least the average standard on their own WHEN THEY MOVE ON TO ANOTHER CLUB. Ashley Cole is exception, bcoz he is under the guidance of good defensive tactical manager - mourinho and hiddink. Fabregas or Nasri? we'll see. Others? Well, like i said...depends on da manager =) 1 more thing about Chamakh, many criticism on how he play vs udinese. But actually, dat was the role assigned to him. That is not how he used to play last season and when he was in France, he was just following the coach order. 90 minute of action, u become a target man, keep the ball especially winning the aerial battle, let the right/left and middle attack (he create many passes to gervinho, walcott and rosicky. As for defensive work, make sure u r in da penalty area most of da time. Dat is the role he was given from wat i can see
Anyway, what should be noted, by all, is that it’s the coming of the 2nd game of the season. Against LFC. Let’s make it clear. U cannot judge the club direction, UNTIL the 10th game of the BPL [I excluded the UCL play off because it does not involve consistency in the period of the competition. Sometimes it depends on luck.] Its normal. This season its more important, since it is expected like last season, the top club drop points more than usual, and the newcomers were very rough to be defeated [Although from the first impression of this season newcomers, I don’t think they are solid enough], but still, we have many title challengers which make it still a stiff fight.

Its like a normal thing that AFC has always been hit by injuries, including this season. But to be fair, how do we expect the injury to occur? Before AW bought on Walcott, Ryo, Jenkinson, do u know their strength?Of course not! But after they play with us, then we know their strength, particular weakness, and is it a flop or not. For now, just give AW a chances to bring AFC back to glory. He also needs a backup to support his work. Frimpong should have played last season as backup for Song, Persie should have not injured during international duty, Fabregas should have not play in Spain world cup triumph bla bla bla. Of course it is hard to have a full squad as it also depends on luck, but do you know that Nottingham Forest, Pelita Jaya FC and Wimbledon FC also want to achieve what other big clubs do? Chill out. Now, let us watch the match with Liverpool FC first.
To be continue …

In my opinion Liverpool are the most underrated team this season among the top 6 hopefuls basically for their previous campaigns as well as the belief that the new squad needs time to gel. Arsenal at this stage despite being a top top team are at their most vulnerable (Cesc, clichy n most likely nasri gone, song and gervinho suspended and wilshere, traore and possibly djourou sidelined), Liverpool should be favourites to win regardless of it being on arsenals turf but the bookies still see a draw. Should a Man Utd, Man City or Chelsea n possibly Stoke would still be seen to at least nick a win, would u say Liverpool FC deserve being seen as not so great or perhaps the bookies are right?

  4. well,John, i am not the type to be offensive to any other team, and besides i am using my logical and critical thinking. Liverpool have their chances. So do every teams in the premier league. So it is still open. I am only suggesting that it will still be a tight fight regardless of who is goin to be in the top 10. Last season, There was some stage that the 11th and 20th position was only separated by 7 points. And we can only imagine how the top 10 is fighting for their honour with UCL and EUROPA as bonus of their hardwork and ethusiasm.
